Rebellion to be Commemorated Today

Today, Saturday July 15, the Plainfield Anti-Violence Coalition will lead a commemoration of the Plainfield Rebellion, which took place exactly 50 years ago. The commemoration will take place at the corner is Plainfield Avenue and West Fourth Street at 5pm, and attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food items if possible.

On Tuesday starting at 10am, Plainfield held its 94th annual Fourth of July Parade. I took some pictures along the route down Front Street. Sorry for the lackluster captions and narrative as didn’t have much time after editing.
