Black Panther documentary, discussion in NJ this weekend

Stanley Nelson’s acclaimed documentary The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution was often followed by panel discussions during its New York screenings earlier this fall . Those who didn’t make it across the Hudson have another chance to take part – this time closer to home.

On Thanksgiving weekend, both Saturday and Sunday at 5pm, the film will be playing on the second floor at 30 Central Avenue in Newark. This is downtown at the corner of Halsey Street.

The documentary will be preceded by a visual presentation about New Jersey Black Panthers, and will be followed by a question and answer session with former members of chapters in our area.

The suggested donation is $10, which will benefit the twenty-plus Black Panthers still incarcerated. Take a look at the trailer below, and click here for the flyer. For any more information, please email lumpen21@hotmail.com.
