HSP hosts Madame CJ Walker: A Self-Made Woman (photos)

Interpreter Daisy Century drew a standing ovation Sunday with her performance as entrepreneur, civil rights advocate, and philanthropist Madame CJ Walker, America’s first woman self-made millionaire. The event was hosted at the Drake House Museum by the Historical Society of Plainfield and funded by the Horizons Speakers Bureau of the New Jersey Council for the Humanities. DSC02789
